The textures/tiles below are free for the taking and have been donated by some of our members.

The tartans, which are in zip files in .bmp format, have been donated by CarolUK , here is a brief note with instructions from her on the textures:

1) the tiles should be used as bitmap fills, so that the colours are not degraded. The filled object can be saved as a jpg but using a jpg fill and then saving as a jpg would probably make the reds look very fuzzy.

2) The tiles can be used at 200% normal size, as well as normal size, and a lot of them look better like that. They tend to be not very good representations of the tartan at less than 100%.

The ones I have done (the real clan ones) tend to be my particular favourite tartans. Macbeth is my absolute favourite.
