PI - .SMP files

  • TO IMPORT THE PHOTOIMPACT GRADIENT FILES - unzip the gradients SMP file to a temporary location on your hard drive.

    1) Open the easy palette - galleries - and click on my gallery to select it

    2) Right click and choose import from the menu, browse to the SMP file and click on it to get the name in the open box.

    3) Decide whether you want to add it to My Gallery (check merge with the active gallery and select merge group by group) or to import it as a completely new gallery (check open as a new gallery).
Then click OPEN to import it.

    4) The gradient will appear in your easy palette where you opted to place it.

    5) Open an image (to enable all the options in the easy palette right click menu) and then right click on the gradient thumbnail and choose Modify properties and apply.

    6) Under the display of the ramp click EDIT and when the ramp is displayed in the palette ramp editor, click ADD at the bottom to add the gradient to your gallery of ramps.

You can now use this ramp in any gradient situation. You can delete the gradient from Easy Palette if you wish to do so, or you can make more presets and add them.
